Mutchler’s DAKOTA GOLD Mustard was actually an idea that our friends came up with. We have been making mustard for approximately 18 years. Grandma Mutchler taught us how to make mustard, so we took her process and developed our own recipe. Thus was the start of the dream and a lot of work!!

Our original mustard is not for people who enjoy bland food!! Although it does not contain horseradish or hot sauce. It definitely has a twang to it. There are no preservatives or artificial colors, and there is nothing artificial about the flavor!

In 1998, our friends began pushing us towards another flavor. Not being happy with only one world class mustard, we took on their challenge. Our DAKOTA GOLD Honey Mustard is in a class of its own! It takes the term SWEET/HOT to a new level, still using no horseradish or hot sauce.

Our family still handles all the production of our mustards. It’s made in small batches to ensure the quality of our mustards. The main ingredient in these products is no secret, although it’s sometimes hard to find. It is FAMILY LOVE!! Keep smiling. Grandma is watching.
